Telling stories through the art of sound and photography has always been a driving factor in my life.
I graduated from Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee with a B.S. in audio engineering. In 2011 I quickly moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in sound editorial for movies. I worked for 5 years at a small post house, where I was able to build the necessary skills to become a freelance sound editor. Currently, I work for studios and companies such as Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Sony, Universal, and E Squared. As a full time sound designer for feature films, I have had the amazing opportunity to create atmospheres, evoke emotion, design creatures, and set the tone to help film makers enhance their story.
While sound design is a huge passion of mine, the mountains hold just as much value to who I am. Traveling, climbing, and venturing into the unknown is something that is irreplaceable. Experience in technical ice climbing, rock climbing, and small alpine style expeditions has brought me closer to achieving my goals of pushing my personal boundaries of reaching the unknown.
An intricate part of these alpine experiences is having the opportunity to expose the average person to the remote environment of the mountains through photography. By exposing people to the roads less traveled, through the storytelling possibilities of photography and sound, I hope to show people what this world has to offer.
